I enjoy filling Easter baskets for my children to bring some excitement and anticipation to Easter morning. I always include some candy, a toy, and some spring or summer essentials, like a bathing suit. I also like to include something that will encourage their faith and bring the focus back to the resurrection of Jesus. So I want to share with you some of my Christian Easter basket ideas for kids.
Bibles and Christian Books
I always like to include a Christian book. My kids are big readers and Christian books aren't always available at the library. Here are a few book and Bible recommendations.

This is my favorite little kid Bible because I love the way that it connects each story to Jesus. I enjoyed reading this as an adult!
NIV Adventure Bible
This is my favorite big kid Bible. It is the NIV translation which very readable for kids and has lots of extra info and spotlights to help kids understand what they are reading.
The Action Bible: God's Redemptive Story
My son asked for this Bible because he had seen a friend with it at church. He read the whole thing last summer! So, this is another great Bible to own that kids will want to read on their own.

This is one of my favorite picture books to read at Easter because it tells the story of the Bible from creation to Jesus. If you already have this one, there are many more great books in the Tales that Tell the Truth series.
Bible Stories and Songs Interactive Electronic Take Along Storyteller
This is a really cool Bible Reader for young kids or kids with disabilities. My son with Down Syndrome loves to listen to music at all times but he will also listen to these Bible stories as well. You can read along with the physical books but you don't have to.
