I loved folding and playing with fortune tellers or cootie catchers as a kid. Now I have repurposed these fun childhood games into truth tellers, revealing Biblical truths under each flap. So far I have 5 unique truth tellers: four holiday versions and one gospel story version. Each is available as a digital download. These truth tellers are great for home, school, or church! Once the kids have colored and folded them, they will enjoy playing with them over and over.
FOLDING INSTRUCTIONS
1) Cut along bottom gray line to remove excess white paper.
2) Fold the square in half, open back up, and fold in half the other way and open back up.
3) Flip paper face down and fold each corner to the middle.
4) Flip paper back over and fold each corner to the middle again.
5) Fold paper in half.
6) Pick up paper and hold with pointer fingers on the back two halves and thumbs on the front two halves.
7) Push left and right side towards the middle.
8) Hold with one hand underneath and use the other hand to pull up the flaps.
PLAYING INSTRUCTIONS
1) The host holds the truth teller and asks a friend to pick one of the four pictures.
2) The host then spells that word while opening the truth teller vertically and then horizontally, moving once for each letter.
3) The friend now picks a number.
4) The host counts to that number while moving the truth teller.
5) The friend now picks another number.
6) The host reads the truth or question under that flap.
